About uCareerStrategy

This website aims to assist those people who care about their career in achieving their career goals and achieving career change, with a focus on finding meaningful work, no matter what type of career they choose. I myself am on a constant quest to find meaning and satisfaction in my work!

The ultimate goal of this site is to help to reduce career dissatisfaction through practical guidance, my experience and career resources to empower people to make change and improve their situation. The way to do this, in my opinion, is twofold.

Firstly, we need to have a more strategic mindset when thinking about our careers. Secondly, we need to improve our communication skills – because communication is the very foundation of every interaction we have in our lives.

I’ve seen far too many people sit in jobs they hate, because they either don’t think they can make a change or because they don’t know what else they’d rather be doing. I’ve also seen people hit brick walls because they don’t understand how to navigate their workplace or deal with people in the right way.

I hope this site helps you in making your career simpler and provides you with direction – please feel free to contact me with any feedback or questions you might have – I’d love to hear from you.

About me

Ben pic - small

My name is Ben and I work as a manager by day, on a number of interesting and complex projects. All the content on this website is my own and is nothing to do with my current or past employers. I enjoy seeing other people succeed and find fulfilment in their careers – these people seem like they are few and far between, however!

Over my career I have built strong leadership capability in several industries. I have bachelor degrees in Biochemistry and Computer Science as well as an MBA and have taken on a number of guest speaking roles.

I started my career working in technical IT roles and after a few years decided that it wasn’t what I wanted to do. I then started to focus on moving away from the technical aspects and developing my leadership and management capabilities.

I believe that people want more job satisfaction and less depressing drudgery, and that’s why I created this website. I hope the content on this site helps people simplify their careers and achieve their goals.
